Nature Morte

 

These images are a meditation on the quiet emotion of objects and spaces that are often overlooked, but that hold a subtle drama. With light reminiscent of Dutch still lifes, and with multilayered composition, the photographs resonate with the energy of domestic relationships and unseen figures.

 

Gemlike vignettes, the photos convey a sense of one happening upon a scene, as if the objects of daily life have been left for just a moment, waiting for the bustle to return and someone to clear the table, wash the fruit, make the bed.
